Mack Trucks has updated the Mack® Granite® with a new, more modern fascia with an updated chrome grille and self-heating LED headlights.

Mack Trucks has updated the Mack^® Granite^® with a new, more modern fascia with an updated chrome grille and self-heating LED headlights. The new LED headlights improve forward visibility by up to 29% and peripheral visibility by up to 50% with their brighter illumination. Mack debuted the Granite changes on Jan. 17 at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas.

The updated fascia not only looks great, but it also helps make the Granite safer to operate in a myriad of conditions and reduces strain on the operator. We are making a great product incrementally better.”

The choice of two grille treatments offer customers another way to customize the look of their Granite. The standard grille features blacked-out cross bars surrounding the chrome Mack badge with the optional grille being all chrome. Available for order in February, the new grille and new air intakes modernize the look of the Granite.

The self-heating LED headlights add to Granite's already impressive suite of safety features. The integrated heating elements automatically sense the ambient temperature and activate to keep ice and snow from building up, while an anti-fog coating prevents condensation in warmer, humid environments for improved visibility.

The new LED technology is designed to fully illuminate the road and jobsite, including the driver- and passenger-sides of the vehicle for better object detection and reduced eye fatigue.

Safety is also improved during daylight driving through new, integrated amber daytime running lights that double as turn signals, making the truck more visible to oncoming traffic and on the jobsite.

The LED headlights have high-impact polycarbonate lenses with additional hard coating protection to prevent cracking, scratching or damage to the headlight from road or jobsite debris.

The headlight assemblies are designed to be easily replaced and can be retrofitted on earlier Granite models as an upgrade.
